There’s just no getting around the simple truth: Solid business leadership is essential for a company to grow to its maximum potential.

Great leaders create great businesses. Mediocre leaders create mediocre businesses. And bad leaders…well, I don’t need to paint you a picture.

So how does one become a great leader?

Well, some people think great leaders are born. Others subscribe to the theory that great leaders are created.

Personally, I think the answer lies somewhere in between.

I don’t believe everyone is born a great leader, but I do believe most people have at least some leadership potential. And, I believe leadership skills can be honed. All leaders can learn to become good leaders, and good leaders can learn to become great leaders.

The purpose of this part of the site is to help you become a great leader by cultivating your the skills you already possess.

Why is it so important?

First of all, somebody has to drive the car. Somebody has to make the decisions, and make sure everything gets done. Can you imagine what would happen to a company if no one ever made a decision? Without leaders, very little would get done.

Secondly, somebody has to drive the vision. Leaders are able to step back and take a look at the big picture. They have to align with the company vision, buy into it, and help deliver it throughout the company.

Look at the most successful companies. One thing they all have in common is sound leadership. With very few exceptions, the more successful the company, the better the leadership.
